Uterine Fibroids | My Story + Routine

Hello lovelies!

Been awhile, I know. Much has changed since my last post. I moved to Las Vegas mid-May and started a new position at a financial firm. Now smack dab in the middle of summer, I can now say I’ve experienced true “Vegas heat.” (Find a dragon with dry mouth and ask him to say, “Hi.” That is Vegas heat.) San Diego spoiled me in the weather department, that’s for sure. Silver lining: I’m drinking more water.

The change that prompted this post, however, concerns my health. After several weeks of night sweats, abdominal pain and fullness, fatigue, hair loss, and extreme bloating, I waddled my way to the hospital for some answers. I have fibroids. Well, a fibroid. A 12 cm monster of a thing that made it painfully difficult to walk, urinate, laugh, or sleep.

Apparently the mass that was discovered in 2013 hadn’t disappeared (as the doctors assured me). It simply shrunk to an undetectable size, awaiting a good time to go Hulk and destroy things. But I’m grateful. This new pain reminded me of past health victories, inspired me to return to nature and research natural remedies, and breathed new life into a decaying dream of inspiring women to seek non-toxic, noninvasive strategies for correcting physical imbalances.

“Diseases can be our spiritual flat tires — disruptions in our lives that seem to be disasters at the time but end by redirecting our lives in a meaningful way.”

My New Plan

I showed no signs of infection, and all my bodily processes were functioning properly (albeit with much discomfort), so I made the decision to devote the next 6 months to trying natural remedies and altering my diet. If after 6 months there was no decrease in size, I’d elect for surgical intervention. After reading up on the subject and spending hours combing the web for personal accounts from individuals who shrunk their fibroids naturally, I seem to have found a plan that works for me.

  • Plant-Based Low Estrogen Diet
  • 200mg DIM Daily
  • 25g Fiber Daily
  • Raspberry Leaf Capsules
  • 5000 IU Vitamin D Daily
  • Daily Exercise
  • Citrus Juices

Adding Soon

  • Pure Life Essence Whole Food Vitamin
  • 900mg Decaf Green Tea Extract
  • 2oz Xango Mangosteen Juice

I can still feel the mass, but I’m happy to say I’m pain free after incorporating these changes (with a lot of prayer). I will return to the doctor in a month to remeasure my monster. Stay tuned for an update!
