“Stay fresh. Live Free.” Sounds simple enough doesn’t it? This is the tagline for the brand Saige + Ivy. Named after the owner’s oldest child, Saige Ivy, this label’s mission is to offer a product that is “nontoxic to the welfare and health of people.” Simple, indeed.
Brand creator Brittany Oliver has degrees in Sociology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is the mother of two children. She refers to herself as a “blendmaster” and makes her home in Raleigh, NC. Through life experiences, Brittany learned about the therapeutic benefits of essential oils, and the advantages of limiting our exposure to harmful chemicals and additives. She so kindly sent me the Lemongrass and Tea Tree deodorant spray to try and review.
As a mother and concerned family member, Brittany not only wanted to find creations that addressed her skincare concerns but would also tackle the physical ailments of loved ones. What resulted was a product designed to help everyone live improved lives using ingredients that are organic and all natural.
When you first click on the Web site you are given the opportunity to sign up for a newsletter and receive a 10% discount on your first order. There you will also read that orders over $30 are shipped for free. Brittany was also gracious enough to offer a code for ConsciouslyCandace readers – use code CCANDACE! to save!

On the Saige + Ivy Web site you will find information about their 100% satisfaction guarantee, and their claim that the deodorants are cleared for sensitive skin and won’t stain clothes. Also on the FAQ page you will read that the product’s shelf life is 6-7 months and that each bottle can last 10 weeks. Also important to note: this product is a deodorant, not an antiperspirant. It will not stop you from sweating but it will stop the stink!
Consumers are encouraged to complete a small skin patch test to rule out any allergic reactions. Pregnant and nursing women are advised to consult their healthcare provider before using products made with essential oils.
Keeping with their desire to keep things simple, Saige + Ivy offers their one product in three scents: Lemongrass and Tea Tree, Grapefruit and Mint, and Flourish – which combines lavender, geranium and ylang ylang. Each scent combines essential oils, unfiltered apple cider vinegar, organic fractionated coconut oil, and filtered water. Comparable in price to clinical strength drugstore deodorants, you won’t suffer sticker shock.
Saige + Ivy seeks to share creations made with simple ingredients that promote a holistic lifestyle.
